ENTRY LEVEL CLASS FOR ENGINEERING GRADUATES AND STUDENTS!
This is the entry level class in the professional Civil Engineer series. Positions in this series performs routine professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; assists in preparing designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required. Some positions may require overtime work, including weekends, holidays and after hours.Current Vacancy Information:
  • There are two vacancies with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply - Capital Projects Division, one in the Design Branch and one in the Support Branch.
  • There are two vacancies with the Department of Transportation Services, Traffic Engineering Division.
  • There is one vacancy with the Department of Environmental Services, Environmental Quality Division.

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your education in order to be given credit.
