Come join us.Huntsman is seeking a Chemical Production Operator supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in Arlington, Texas. This position will report to the Shift Lead.Job ScopeAssists in the process of producing spray foam insulation including tasks such as drumming off, forklift movement staging, and pulling drums.As the Chemical Production Operator, you will:
  • Certified to operate forklifts if not will be trained to.
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
  • Able to finish all packaging per SOP’s—drums, pails, totes, labels, palletizing, banding, labels, etc.
  • Perform housekeeping on a daily basis and maintain good plant hygiene.
  • Assist other employees in safe handling of raw chemical materials and finished products.
  • Perform any duty as requested as by his supervisor in any area of the plant.
  • Able to understand and read scales to perform drum filling weigh per batch sheets.
  • Knows and understands all safety requirements for drum filling and filling out paperwork.
  • Wear all appropriate PPE.
  • Able to prepare product stencils for labeling drums.
  • Properly maintain respirator.
  • Complete forklift daily safety checklist.

QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United StatesMinimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma as a minimum degree
  • Certified to operate forklifts.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team player.
  • Must be able to understand and execute directives.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Typical manufacturing environment.
  • Working with dangerous chemicals.
  • Be able to lift 50 + lbs on a continuous basis, must be able to make repetitive movements for a long period of time, walking, standing, able to wear a breathing mask, able to work around chemicals, walking up and downstairs, lift items overhead, bending.
