Job DescriptionJob Title: Leasing ConsultantReports To: Community ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummary: Show and lease apartments or condominiums to prospective residents by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned
  • Ascertain needs and qualifications of prospective residents
  • Give tours to prospective residents of vacant/model apartments and discuss the size and layout of rooms, as well as any available amenities
  • Inform prospective residents of availability of nearby schools, shopping malls, recreational facilities, and public transportation
  • Rent apartments, collect security deposit as required, and complete lease documents outlining conditions and terms of occupancy
  • Inspect condition of premises periodically and arranges for necessary maintenance
  • Compile listings of available rental properties
  • Compose and post vacancy advertisements
  • Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings, as assigned

Qualifications:To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Math Ability - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer Skills - Must have working knowledge Office Suite (Office 365) and Yardi.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Work environment - The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of the position
  • Noise Level - Typical office environment, but moderate to higher levels may be encountered elsewhere, such as visiting units or walking the property
  • Physical - The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Vision - Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk, including on varied terrain and up and down stairs. Ability to inspect properties and apartment units, in a variety of conditions, and in all manners of weather customary to the Pacific Northwest
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
