Reports To: Quality ManagerGeneral DescriptionThe Quality Control Line Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections of production and compounding lines during manufacturing. This includes verifying production processes, cleanliness, documentation, and compliance with GMP standards. The role also includes paperwork reviews and completion of quality records.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Follow all work instructions and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).Inspect production areas, processes, and finished products.Perform line clearance and pre-op checks before starting production or after stoppages.Review batch tickets before production begins.Monitor and report on cleanliness of production areas; escalate issues to QA and Production Supervisor.Verify sanitation of equipment before production.Ensure product identification and sanitation cards are present on equipment.Confirm release stickers on raw materials, packaging, and bulk materials.Check product temperature and weight are within specification before packaging.Complete QC Line Hourly Inspection Forms and report any anomalies.Record findings on the Daily Event Tracker Worksheet.Conduct weekly cGMP audits and document findings.Record downtime and scale calibration on inspection forms.Perform daily verification of equipment calibration and suitability.Comply with all company SOPs and policies.Complete Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) as needed.Provide backup support for Incoming QC Inspector duties as necessary.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications & SkillsProficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.Ability to operate basic measurement tools (scale, thermometer, etc.).Understanding of CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Competence in performing basic math.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for up to 3 hours at a time.Good hand-eye coordination and visual inspection ability.Accurately write and record information.Lift up to 5 pounds.Perform physical movements such as bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (required); college degree (preferred).1–2 years of experience in a GMP production environment (required).1–2 years of line inspection and/or GMP audit experience (required).COM-187Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
