Explore our culture.**This role is an ONSITE role located at 1224 Poinsett Hwy, Greenville, SC 29609**Summary: The Senior Production Maintenance Technician position conducts proactive machine maintenance, shared machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Serves as a leader for the maintenance team on a shift and trains other maintenance technicians as needed.Essential Functions:
  • Hands on maintenance working with Inserting/Mailing equipment such as Bell & Howell, BlueCrest and Pitney Bowes
  • Leadership skills in the absence of the department manager
  • Serve as maintenance shift leader in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
  • Train other maintenance technicians as needed
  • Provides proactive support in maintaining production equipment, helping to ensure that production machines are operating at optimum levels.
  • Responsible for attending and conducting maintenance shift hand-over reporting and sending updates via email to communicate shift issues and resolutions.
  • Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Shares set up responsibilities with operators for scheduled production runs.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair production machines. Must become knowledgeable with operating system computers on each production machine.
  • Support all production needs as necessary including operating equipment, relieving breaks and lunches and leading and assisting online changeovers.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position functions as a lead for the maintenance team in the absence of the department manager.
This is a full-time position. Normally, the production schedule is for 40 hour weeks (5 eight hour shifts), but workload may dictate OT and weekend work.Required Education and Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience servicing packaging, mailing or production machines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.
