Job SummaryThe coordinator is a professional who is an expert in the care of the palliative patient population/subspecialty area. The coordinator assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of the supportive and palliative end of life educational program throughout Children’s of Alabama.Education
  • Education and experience as follows:
Master's degree in social workMaster's degree in counselingBachelor's degree in nursingMaster's degree in specialty or equivalent degree preferredExperience
A minimum of two years' experience required. Pediatric oncology and/or hospice experience preferred.Licensures, Certifications, and/or RegistriesUnrestricted license to practice in state of residence. (LCSW, RN, etc)Prefer current certification in or plans to obtain certification as a certified Hospice & Palliative Pediatric Nurse (CHPPN) or a certified Hospice & Palliative Care Administrator (CHPCA) within a reasonable timeframe.
