- Planning management of multi-level, large part count Bills of Materials for highly complex electro-mechanical products
- Working globally with contract manufacturers and suppliers to establish a sourcing strategy, quoting for both short-term prototype turns and long-term production costs
- Material planning, requisitioning material, and resolving critical material shortages on new product
- Collaborating with Engineering and Operations teams on product structure to assess assembly “make versus buy”
- Releasing work orders, monitoring manufacturing builds and reporting to development and management team on Production Job status
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams and to communicate with all levels of management
- Coordinating with suppliers on RMAs/rework of product from either quality issues or Engineering Change notices
- Responsible for Planning transfer from Teradyne to contract manufacturers
- Assessing Lead Time Profiles for product and recommending risk buys for forecasted demand
- Ability to find creative ways to resolve problems using project management skills
- Recognizing when problems must be escalated is a critical skill
- Executing purchase requisitions and purchase orders for prototype parts through our MRP system.
- Overall 8+ years of experience with electro-mechanical products
- Ability to succeed in a highly agile environment that requires attention to detail while maintaining a broad scope of vision to implement sourcing/planning change
- Candidates must be able to work independently
- Prior experience planning and buying within an MRP/ERP system is a must
- Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets, pivot tables, and formulas in Excel
- Skilled with presentation software and database tools are helpful
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are a necessity
- A team player that has a high level of flexibility, and will work toward common goals inter-departmentally and cross-functionally
- Nominal travel is a possibility (10%)
- Demonstrated proactive planning and leadership skills as well as a proven ability to envision and implement change (problem identification and solution recommendation, and implementation)
- Bachelor's degree required
