
Property Tax Agent

- Perform on-site inspections of client’s properties.
- Review assessments of comparable properties for application of equal and uniform standards by the taxing authorities.
- Review income, expense, cost and sales data while preparing market value evidence for appeals of the appraisal district assessments.
- Conduct negotiation of values with appraisal districts on an informal level for Personal and Real properties.
- Appeal unfair valuations with a professional presentation to the Appraisal Review Board.
- Recommend Arbitration or Litigation where appropriate as well as coordinate the process until final resolution.
- May testify in interrogatories, depositions, pre-trial negotiations, and District Court.
- File renditions and any applicable exemptions.
- Prepare tax projections and tax estimates.
- Meet new business/renewal business as it relates to individual goals set by the management.
- Bachelor Degree in Business or Related Field preferred.
- Mandatory by State Statute to be licensed by the State Comptroller’s Office of the State of Texas, existing license preferred.
- In-depth knowledge in all three approaches to the valuation of both personal and real property.
- Strong knowledge of contract law as well as property tax law.
- Proven experience in sales, growth, and leadership development.
- Strong working knowledge of PC’s and related applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective presentation ability.
- Able to work under sometimes stressful conditions, while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
- State of Texas travel will be required.
