The company continues to succeed by focusing on product quality, best-in-class service, and family values.HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCEThis President role is responsible for leading CK Supply's senior management team and will work directly with them to coach, mentor and support initiatives to achieve corporate goals working towards our 10 Year target, 3 Year picture and 1 Year plan. Our company exists to make things better every day for our employee owners, customers, vendors and community. Our vision includes becoming the leading distributor in the Midwest while supporting our employee owners in achieving personal and professional success. The President will be an integral part and bear a significant portion of the responsibility in ensuring that this vision becomes reality.The posting of this role is the continuation of a formal succession plan put in place by the company Board of Directors. Upon placement in the role, the ideal candidate will work closely with the outgoing president for six to twelve months as he transitions to Chairman of the Board and retirement at the end of 2025. We have a plan and playbook that is working and we expect to fully hand over the baton by the end of 2025 to the new President to lead the team and take us to the next level.This role will have a formal onboarding process that will allow for a period of experiential learning and hands-on understanding of the culture, business operations and processes before engaging in direct management responsibilities. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe success of this role involves driving results through engagement with leadership and employees. Key duties and responsibilities include:
  • Promote and adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words at all times.
  • Work closely with CEO/Visionary to turn ideas into action.
  • Lead, Coach, Mentor and Support the 6-member leadership team as well as 160 other employee owners.
  • Execute the Corporate business plan by overseeing and leading the daily operations of the business to ensure accurate and timely action.
  • Provide full corporate companywide financial P&L responsibility.
  • Direct decision making that is consistent with corporate mission, vision and values within the bounds of sound governance and internal controls.
  • Analyze business trends and develop plans to maximize company profitability based on best practices within the industry as well as general business understanding.
  • Keep leadership team on same page by facilitating weekly management meeting according to Traction EOS meeting agenda.
  • Establish and maintain key vendor, customer and business community relationships through attendance at business related meetings and events, customer and vendor related meetings and events, and interactions with peers and competitors.
  • Assess market conditions, identify opportunities and threats, and make decisions to position the company for success.
  • Solve complex problems while identifying and implementing plans to address issues before they become disruptive to the business.
  • Coordinate and deliver internal and external presentations including company meetings, board meetings, industry and corporate events.
  • Work with CEO/Visionary to prepare Board of Directors documents and communication to ensure oversight and effective governance in a timely and accurate manner.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience including P&L responsibility and a proven track record of successful leadership at a high level preferably in a manufacturing or industrial business.
  • Experience in family, privately owned or employee-owned business is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field of study, MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing, Distribution or Industrial environments preferred.
  • Thorough understanding and experience utilizing Traction EOS is preferred.
  • Demonstrated abilities to build and sustain strong organizational cultures that attract, retain and develop talent.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, organized and detail oriented, a numbers person.
  • Full-time in office at St. Louis, MO headquarters, minimal travel required.
