A skilled and detail-oriented professional is needed to maintain, repair, and rebuild precision casting and trim dies. This role is critical to our manufacturing operations, requiring expertise in machine operation, blueprint reading, welding, and complex problem-solving to ensure tooling meets original specifications and maintains production quality.Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies to original specifications.
- Operate all machines and equipment associated with the die repair process.
- Transport, clean, disassemble, and reassemble dies using lift trucks, cranes, and cleaning equipment.
- Fabricate and replace segments, cores, and parts from blueprints using appropriate tools.
- Perform draw polishing and grinding on die cavity surfaces.
- Execute repairs and modifications on dies while they are mounted on production machines.
- Troubleshoot production tooling problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Complete all required documentation, including work orders, pictorials, and records.
- Perform welding duties as required in the foundry and repair department.
- Train new employees on department procedures and techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Education: An associate’s degree, trade/technical school diploma, or journey person certificate is required to demonstrate the ability to perform highly skilled tasks and solve complex problems.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Candidates with less experience must be willing to complete a 2-year, on-the-job training program to meet the requirement. Possession of Tool & Die Repair Journeyman papers is a significant advantage.

- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proven proficiency in die repair techniques, including polishing, grinding, and welding.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and lift trucks safely.
