
Data Engineer, SPS Finance Insights & Analytics

- Design, implement and build an analytical data infrastructure
- Managing AWS resources including EC2, EMR, S3, Glue, Redshift, etc.
- Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources
- Explore, learn and adopt the latest AWS technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiency
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) to recognize and help adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Work with stakeholders to understand the business questions and define requirements and build out data solutions
- Support continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customersBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQLPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
- Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience with distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing

The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
