We are seeking a skilled SQL Server Database to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing SQL databases while also overseeing the integration and functioning of these databases within our application environment. This dual role requires a strong technical foundation in database structure, configuration, and tuning, as well as the ability to manage databases to support our application developmentResponsibilities:Design and develop database structures, storedprocedures, views, and functions to supportapplication development projectsPerform database administration tasks includinginstallation, configuration, upgrades, performancetuning, and troubleshooting.Work closely with application developers tointegrate SQL databases with existing and newapplications, ensuring optimal performance andreliability.Implement and maintain database securitymeasures, including access controls andencryption, to safeguard against unauthorizedaccess or data breaches.Conduct regular database maintenance tasks suchas backups, restores, and integrity checks to ensuredata accuracy and availability.Monitor database performance, identifybottlenecks, and apply fine-tuning adjustments toSQL queries and indices for enhanced efficiencyAssist in capacity planning, SQL server layout, andconfiguration to support business scalabilityrequirements.Develop and enforce database developmentstandards and best practices to ensure quality and consistency across the database environment.Provide support and guidance during the application release cycle including deployment.
