- Defines and develops strategic vision for the responsible category with North America (NA) strategic alignment.
- Establishes national assortment with NA strategic alignment. Study industry and category trends to support this planning and development process.
- Determines national promotional activities and collaborates with NA strategic alignment.
- Has decision rights on innovation launch support and category big bets.
- Owns the joint business planning process and relationships aligned with NA strategic alignment.
- Key vendor point of contact – owns the national relationship.
- Drives annual category review planning and presentation.
- Responsible for high level budgeting for the category, with ability to write and present to senior teams.
- Analyzes financial results of the category and provides actionable feedback to the business units.
- Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Ten years of experience or more preferred in category or financial management, convenience store merchandising, operations, or related retail industry; including five years management experience.
- Relationship management, acute ability to influence, financial acumen and analytical skills are required.
- Must be able to work independently or collaboratively, in a fast paced, frequently changing business environment.
- Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferred.
- May require up to 15% travel.
- Valid driver’s license required.
