Let's grow together!THE ROLEThe Nicotine Category Senior Manager manages the Nicotine category for the U.S. region. They direct merchandising plans and operational processes to achieve financial objectives. They utilizes data, insights, and current trend analytics to develop execution plans for categories and optimize product assortments as required by the business units. They increase sales and gross profit by supporting negotiations of contracts & programs with suppliers, evaluating new products/services, enhancing business processes to improve planning, execution, marketing and merchandising strategies. They leads cross-functional support with business unit Category Managers, and other functional teams that support merchandising efforts. The Nicotine Category Senior Manager should foster an environment that welcomes change, supports the development of others and that promotes high levels of ingenuity and creative thinking, risk tolerance, and collaboration growing revenue and margin for all categories.WHAT YOU’LL DOHere are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better:
  • Defines and develops strategic vision for the responsible category with North America (NA) strategic alignment.
  • Establishes national assortment with NA strategic alignment. Study industry and category trends to support this planning and development process.
  • Determines national promotional activities and collaborates with NA strategic alignment.
  • Has decision rights on innovation launch support and category big bets.
  • Owns the joint business planning process and relationships aligned with NA strategic alignment.
  • Key vendor point of contact – owns the national relationship.
  • Drives annual category review planning and presentation.
  • Responsible for high level budgeting for the category, with ability to write and present to senior teams.
  • Analyzes financial results of the category and provides actionable feedback to the business units.
  • Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines.
WHAT YOU’LL NEEDWe want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • Ten years of experience or more preferred in category or financial management, convenience store merchandising, operations, or related retail industry; including five years management experience.
  • Relationship management, acute ability to influence, financial acumen and analytical skills are required.
  • Must be able to work independently or collaboratively, in a fast paced, frequently changing business environment.
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferred.
  • May require up to 15% travel.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
