Duties, Responsibilities & Other:Assistant ControllerJob Description:Responsible for financial controls and accurate financial reporting on a timely and consistent basis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Other duties include assisting management in interpreting and utilizing accounting information, overseeing compliance reporting for the corporation, overseeing audits, and also responsible for the daily accounting operation to support the financial reporting.Prior experience in engineering consulting business is helpful with knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) reporting.Microsoft Dynamics system experience a plus. * Excellent leadership skills with the ability to meet all deadlines timely.Strong knowledge of accounting and related FASB pronouncements.Skills and Attributes:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong leadership with the ability to manage deadlines and meet strategic goals.Highly organized with a proactive and forward-thinking mindset.Technologically proficient and capable of identifying system improvements.Committed to professional growth and continuous improvement.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. CPA a plus.
  • Minimum of 9 years’ experience with some experience as an Staff accountant preferred.
  • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) reporting/knowledge a plus
