- Plan and execute experiments in cell lines, primary cells, and ex vivo to evaluate efficacy and safety of AAV gene therapy vectors
- Develop and execute histology techniques and immunostaining protocols for different cell types and tissues
- Perform laboratory techniques including DNA/RNA purification and analysis (qPCR, ddPCR, RT-qPCR), cloning, protein and antibody purification, and protein analysis (SDS-PAGE, WES/JESS, ELISA, MSD)
- Rigorous data analysis and effective communication to all stakeholders
- Oversees stock of lab supplies, ordering and organizing lab supply inventory
- Participates in improving lab operations developing and maintaining and inventory of research samples and other reagents
- Ensure research work is conducted with the highest quality and ethical standards, keeping meticulous records, and documentation
- Comply with standard laboratory practices, including documentation and biosafety policies
- Bachelors in Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology or a related scientific field with 4+ years of relevant work experience, or Master’s Degree in scientific field with 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Previous background in neurosciences and hands-on experience iPSC neuronal cell culture is a plus
- Prior training in gene therapy and viral vectors
- Experience with electronic lab notebooks and/or GxP documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- This role may require up to 10-15% travel for studies, conferences or training.
