Responsibilities & QualificationsRESPONSIBILITIESThe Senior Applications Programmer will provide concentrated support for the various AV systems utilized by NDU, such as Crestron This position will serve as a lead for AV support requirements and support the following functions:
  • Design, Engineer, integrate, and modernize AV components such as Crestron, vBrick, MS Teams, etc.
  • Developing block diagrams and logic flow charts.
  • Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Collaborate with component and directorate leaders to define technical requirements for priority data-analytics use-cases, ensuring agile execution.
  • Translates detailed design into computer software.
  • Tests, debugs and refines the computer software to produce the required product.
  • Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
  • Provides technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the highest levels of management.
  • Successful working knowledge and supervision of employees across various labor categories and skills.
  • Knowledge of IP and optical network operation.
  • Understanding of DoD network and system security requirements.
  • Experience with help desk support and operation.
  • Knowledge of networking and network-based software applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in a DoD IT environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required experience: 5 years
  • Education: BA/BS in a technical discipline
  • Clearance Level: Secret
