- Support the investigation, evaluation, litigation, and disposition of claims brought in state and federal courts, and various administrative agencies
- Coordinate with attorneys in the O-I Legal Department, commercial and sales teams, and quality personnel to help assess and resolve customer and consumer complaints/claims
- Manage the execution of legal hold directives, as well as their release
- Manage discovery related tasks in coordination with attorneys in the O-I Legal Department, outside legal counsel, and O-I employees across functions and geographies, including preparing responses to discovery requests and subpoenas, collecting and organizing documents, email, and electronic data, and identifying and coordinating with potential witnesses for purposes of fact-gathering and testimony
- Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, or trials as necessary to represent the Company in conjunction with outside defense counsel
- Assist attorneys in the O-I Legal Department in the preparation of materials that support the Company's audits and financial reporting
- Coordinate with O-I's Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer to manage O-I's records management program
- Develop a strong working knowledge and understanding of the Company's records retention schedule and assist with edits and enhancements to that records retention schedule
- Respond to questions related to records management and retention
- Develop and conduct training on records management and retention
- Assist with document review and disposition of records consistent with the records retention schedule
- Manage projects related to records management, including to improve processes and procedures to identify, maintain and preserve records as required by law, regulation and business processes
- Support the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer with compliance work as assigned, including in such areas as privacy, periodic required filings, and other information/data requests
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a litigation support role at a law firm and/or corporation
- Prior Paralegal or Attorney experience preferred
- E-discovery experience preferred
- Experience with records and information management programs/processes
- Experience supporting compliance work preferred
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and project management capabilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience as a liaison between business units and support teams
