- This position requires a deep understanding of the customers and the energy utility market.
- The individual may have other business development activities, such as investigating and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, geographic expansions, licensing, partnerships, joint ventures, new business/market opportunities and sustainability to determine if such activities are in line with the organization's overall strategy and vision.
- The individual is also responsible for the allocation of apportioned resources between existing and new businesses and continuously monitors the market to keep track of competitor developments and their impact on market share.
- In this role you will identify gaps and emerging requirements, perform market and economic analysis, conduct business intelligence, design and execute formal sales plans, and monitor competitor activity.
- You will develop the overall Growth Strategy, as well as internal and external partnerships, campaigns and associated Energy Infrastructure marketing for the Business Area.
- You will lead with a team of Growth professionals, including capture managers, Growth leads and Growth analysts, in achievement of the Business Areas short and long-term business development goals.
- You will drive a robust pipeline of opportunities and execute cost-effective win strategies to achieve annual financial objectives.
- Work closely and partner with the P&L organization to ensure growth objectives are met and alignment is achieved.
- Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years related Growth experience including leading business development teams
- Proven experience in developing and growing a large portfolio with positive book-to-bill (
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead large and diverse teams while growing and developing people
- Demonstrated ability to attract and retain top talent
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to create, establish mutually beneficial relationships internal and external to Leidos
- Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint
- College Degree and 15+ years of professional experience
- Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with senior management, technical staff, division managers, and peers in the Group and across Leidos
