
People Labor and Relations Coordinator

- • Serves as the initial point of contact and liaison for intake and assessment of labor/CBA questions from internal People Team members. Responds to routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements; refers complex matters to Director, ELR.
- Collects information and data to assess cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes. This may include management and union proposals, pay scales and wages, benefits, working conditions, and other mitigating circumstances, as requested.
- Creates and maintains union contract crosswalks and updates as necessary.
- Conducts surveys, interviews, and other research related to human resource policies, compensation, and other labor negotiations; collects information and reports results to Director, Employee and Labor Relations.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources.
- Assists with preparation of documents and records required for contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor organizations.
- May attend bargaining sessions as the designated note taker for the bargaining team.
- Assists with preparation of materials and resources to educate managers of represented staff on the collective bargaining agreement and other training resources as requested or assigned.
- Assists with all collective bargaining agreement system (HRIS) implementation and any updates during the term of the collective bargaining agreements. Maintains and creates resources for leaders to communicate any updates or changes that affect their represented employees. Prepares materials to updated internal stakeholders on updates with collective bargaining agreements.
- Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs appropriate HR staff when additional investigation is required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, Accounting, or related field required.
- Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- At least three (3) years of professional human resource administration required with experience in employee relations and labor preferred.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR, labor relations, and contract negotiations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
