This individual will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Parts department including delivering optimal customer service and parts knowledge to internal (Rentals, Sales and Service Departments) and external customers. This position performs a variety of duties including providing price quotations, checking inventory for product availability, providing delivery dates to customers and verifying prices. - Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of heavy equipment brands and components
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as parts manuals
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Basic mathematical skills
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Must have a forklift license or ability to obtain
- 3+ years’ experience in heavy equipment, construction or automotive parts and/or service environment
- Experience using an ERP or Inventory Management program
- Experience working with heavy equipment parts preferred
- Assist customers and service department in identifying and locating required parts
- Research and order parts using OEM catalogs, databases, and company inventory systems
- Provide pricing, availability, and delivery information to customers
- Receive, inspect, and shelve incoming parts shipments
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department
- Maintain communication with Shipping/Receiving, suppliers and customers to ensure efficiency within the parts department
- Provide and maintain accurate back-order reports
- Promote parts campaigns when interacting with external customers
- Participate in required inventory cycle counts and provide back-up support to other department employees as required
- Participate in training to remain up to date on products represented by the company and new/revised protocols
