Engineering co-op students at Mubea, NA are considered to be an integral part of our Engineering staff and are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under the guidance of our engineering staff, you will be assigned to projects related to Production, Controls, Quality or Research & Design areas (dependent upon current educational curriculum).Duties and ResponsibilitiesJob Overview: We are seeking highly-motivated candidates for our Continuous Improvement Co-op position with a concentration in Engineering located in our Florence, KY location. Throughout this Co-op, you will be exposed to a variety of training functions and projects but will have a primary function in Continuous Improvement. This is an ideal experience for someone who is interested in beginning a career in Process Engineering, as well gaining exposure to a corporate training environment. Essential Functions: - Assist with data collection and analysis related to efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements. - Support Kaizen events and workshops (planning, execution, follow-up). - Participate in time studies, waste identification, and root cause analysis. - Help maintain and improve CI visual management systems (5S audits, KPI boards, etc.). - Create and update documentation such as standard work instructions, process maps, and CI reports. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement actions.QualificationsRequired Education & Experience: - Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or related field. - Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Strong analytical and organizational skills. - Proactive attitude and willingness to learn. - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Interest in automotive manufacturing and /or engineering and sales driven business - Interest working in a Germany based (international) organization - Bilingual German/Spanish a plusWhat We OfferIn addition to forward-looking perspectives in our growing family company worldwide, Mubea provides the opportunity for continuous development, actively supporting your ideas and goals.
