- Ingredient preparation: washing, chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
- Cold food preparation: preparing cold dishes like salads, appetizers, and desserts, including assembling ingredients and ensuring proper presentation.
- Sauce and Dressing preparation: Making sauces, dressings, and other cold condiments as needed.
- Food storage and handling: Ensuring proper storage of ingredientsand prepared food items, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Station Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
- Assisting Chefs: Helping with various tasks during food preparation, as directed by the chef or kitchen manager
- Knife Skills: Proficient in various cutting techniques (e.g. Julienne, Chiffonade)
- Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in measurements and preparation.
- Communication and Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Organizing and Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Must obtain valid Utah Food Handlers Permit or Food Safety Manager Certificate.
