If you're ready to join a dynamic team that drives change and makes a difference, Nexteer welcomes you!About the roleNexteer is looking for an experienced and dynamic finance leader to oversee financial planning and analysis across global operations. This includes managing direct reports, driving strategic financial initiatives, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals. This position will report directly to Nexteer's Global Executive Director of FP&A and offer the opportunity for personal growth and advancement within our company.This position is located at the World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Strategy
  • Support financial strategies that align with global business goals.
  • Coordinate budgeting, long-range planning, financial forecasts, and reviews.
  • Deliver variance analysis and insightful financial reporting to inform business decisions.
  • Leverage Power BI and other tools to visualize profitability, compare actuals versus budgets, and support investment decisions.
  • Maintain accurate updates on global customer and program profitability.
  • Create management presentations and executive updates.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes for greater efficiency.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and company financial policies, including proper cost center classification and cost confidentiality.
  • Support audit activities through the generation of narratives and analytics for interim and annual reports.
  • Standardize and streamline workflows to optimize structure and mitigate risk.
Team & Talent Management
  • Lead and develop an FP&A team, including performance management, hiring, and professional development.
  • Foster employee career growth and retention via ongoing training, feedback, and recognition.
  • Demonstrate and provide training/support in systems such as Hyperion Planning, HFM, and QAD.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
  • Partner with global leadership, HR, operations, and regional finance teams to ensure accurate cost center / people cost reporting, headcount planning, and financial transparency.
  • Fulfill global data requests for cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, ideally with Tier one auto supplier and manufacturing background.
  • Strong financial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and their interrelationships.
  • Experience with standardized cost
  • Advanced analytical skills and deep knowledge of financial statements with great attention to detail.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, HFM, Hyperion Planning, and QAD desired.
  • Behavioral competencies reflecting excellence, accountability, growth, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant certifications like CFA/CPA are a plus).
