Adecco Staffing is hiring for a Tool Room Technician on 1st shift! This is a Direct Hire opportunity.Shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday-FridayPay: $35-$42/hour DOEPosition Summary:
The Toolroom Technician supports production manufacturing by maintaining and servicing tooling used in injection molding operations. This includes organizing, maintaining, and repairing punches, dies, rotary tooling, and ancillary equipment. The role also involves sharpening knives, building setups, and expediting tooling repairs to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.Key Responsibilities:
This role includes, but is not limited to:Follow standardized work instructions for mold and tooling maintenance to ensure proper setup for injection molding production.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molds, including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and troubleshooting.Convert and change over mold components to meet production requirements.Maintain tooling documentation and records in accordance with quality and safety standards.Set up and operate various manual and powered machines, including mills, EDMs, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.Perform stoning and polishing on mold components, maintaining sharp shut-off edges and detail integrity.Assist in electrical troubleshooting, including teardown and rewiring of heaters and thermocouples on hot runner systems.Read and interpret blueprints and basic electrical schematics.Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to ensure tooling accuracy.Work closely with engineering, production, and management to support continuous improvement initiatives.Support 5S and general housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and organized work environment.Assist in other functions as needed based on business priorities.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a machine shop environment, including use of milling machines, EDMs, lathes, and grinders.Ability to read blueprints, follow instructions, and understand tooling specifications.Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.Proficient in basic math and measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).Physically able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance).Safety-conscious with good planning and organizational skills.Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel, etc.).Preferred Qualifications:Experience maintaining or building molds in the plastics industry (3+ years preferred).Familiarity with hot runner manifolds and mold wiring.Knowledge of Class 101 mold standards and maintenance practices.CNC EDM setup and operation experience.Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic electrical testing.Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to continuously improve.If you are interested & qualified, please apply with your updated resume!Pay Details: $35.00 to $42.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
