Ingredion is searching for a Sr Manager Logistics Procurement Center of Excellence.This role, in partnership with divisional and regional heads of procurement, will plan, direct, and monitor all purchasing activities for one or more purchasing categories so what the organization buys meet its standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.Key Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities- Leading a team of Logistics Procurement Analysts to support the category managers in delivering capabilities capable of sustaining competitive advantage in safety, service, cost, and environmental.- Leveraging world-class tools, including technology enablers, that will enhance the procurement process, including RFPs, Should-Cost Modeling Tools, Supplier Relationship Management, Negotiations, Industry/Supplier Intelligence, and Contractual Execution.- Developing systems, performance measures, and processes across all logistics modes of truck, rail, ocean, distribution; including connectivity with the broader Global and Regional Supply Chain stakeholders.- Liaising with Corporate Procurement Center of Excellence on process design, improvement, and adoption of SOP’s.- Supporting the analytical management of Ingredion's global spend for all logistics modes.- Supporting the development of a five-year category strategy, and execution of sourcing projects to reduce cost and improve service and quality levels.- Partner with Global Procurement Team to ensure processes and procedures are appropriately documented, updated, implemented, and audited.- In a forward-looking way, monitoring market trends and analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Provide market intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis on logistics procurement trends, opportunities, and challenges- Mentor and coach logistics procurement staff and develop talent pipelines for the function.Qualified candidates will have the following skills & qualifications:- Find innovative solutions to continuously improve outcomes and solve complex business problems.- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operational Management or equivalent. Master’s degree in business a plus.- 8+ years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, engineering or related field.- Demonstrated ability to analyze and coordinate many complex activities/projects simultaneously and direct successful solutions, including understanding of logistics budgets.- Deep knowledge of logistics trends, including experience in the exploration of new technologies to support automation seeking competitive advantage.#LI-NM1We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
