We unabashedly acknowledge the centuries of government-sponsored oppression and intentional policies and structures that have created a widening racial wealth gap.The Mission of the Michigan Black Business Alliance (MBBA) is to help close the racial wealth gap by developing programs and advocating for policies that result in profitable and sustainable Black-owned businesses that are connected to public and private economic opportunities, while building trusted relationships.Position SummaryThe Program Manager plays a vital role in driving the success of the MBBA's initiatives and empowering Black businesses in Michigan. You will be responsible for managing, implementing, and evaluating programs that provide valuable resources and support to our members. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Black entrepreneurs and contribute to the economic growth of Michigan.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development and Strategy
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of programs that support Black entrepreneurs, focusing on case management and resource coordination.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in services and opportunities for new program initiatives.
Team Leadership and Management
  • Supervise and mentor program coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program execution.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
Partnership and Relationship Building
  • Maintain relationships with community organizations, business leaders, and government agencies to enhance program visibility and impact.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic partnerships that expand resources and opportunities for Black-owned businesses.
Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Develop and implement program evaluation frameworks to assess effectiveness and measure outcomes.
  • Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and drive program improvements.
Budget Management
  • Oversee program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist with identifying and pursuing funding opportunities to support program initiatives
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, program administration, nonprofit management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing programs or projects in a non-profit or community development organization
  • Proven track record of success in program planning, implementation, evaluation, and data analysis
  • Ability to support grant writing and fundraising efforts
  • Passion for entrepreneurship, business development, and community development.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Experience with Google products for collaboration and communication.
  • Familiarity with Zoho CRM and Monday.com is a plus
