- Use a resource navigation model to increase enrollment and program completion of college level credentials.
- Assist students with resolving academic and financial difficulties, navigating college entry processes, and accessing community-based resources.
- Develop and implement student success programs and outreach activities, including in-person and online workshops/orientations.
- Create and lead resource and empowerment workshops and one-on-one coaching, including outreach and coordination with other community-based resources.
- Assist in completing college applications and financial aid applications and refer students to alternative funding sources.
- Assist students in understanding financial aid offers and how to budget college aid.
- Maintain regular communication with students through various methods including phone, email, mail, and in-person meetings.
- Capture clear and accurate case notes of all significant interaction in company web- based resource navigation platform in a timely manner, maintaining orderly, complete, and up-to-date files of assigned caseload.
- Assist in generating reports required by Goodwill, community partners, college, and/or state agencies.
- Capture and preserve documentation of all project-related expenditures in a clear, organized, and timely manner.
- Attend regular meetings with the Washington Student Achievement Council to report progress.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to develop strategies supporting students and program objectives.
- Support ELEVATE students through coordinated efforts to award credit for prior learning and transition students to credential programs at Everett Community College.
- Coordinate with Everett Community College’s Academic Credit for Prior Learning
- Specialist to assist Regional Challenge grant students.
- Participate in continuous program improvement planning, recommending initiatives to enhance program outcomes and advocating for program expansion.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and regulations related to Regional Challenge Grant (RCG).
- Strategize and coordinate with Everett Community College and other internal and external partners to improve services, leverage resources, and assist students in reaching their educational and employment goals.
- Attend required regular internal and external meetings and trainings, and develop and deliver presentations.
- Provide referrals to Evergreen Goodwill programming for job search advice, resume development, interview practice, and assistance to students on an as-needed basis.
- Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and meet the needs of the grant.
- Associate’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Lived experience and international experience considered in lieu of more traditional, U.S. achieved credentials.
- Two years of experience in student support services, case management, social work, human services, or a related area (ex. adult education/training, apprenticeship, or workforce development.)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, database management platforms, and video conferencing.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately within deadlines.
- Knowledge of local community resources and agencies.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with students from a variety of economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, physical and mental abilities and sexual orientations and those with limited English skills.
- Must demonstrate a high level of commitment to equity and non-discrimination in practice and execution of duties.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to make good decisions without on-site supervision.
- Remote and occasional evening and weekend work required.
- Must be able to meet travel requirements of up to 25% of work time locally and statewide.
- Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required sit or stand for long periods of time, communicate with other employees by talking and hearing and to operate computer systems.
- Able to safely lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs., grasp, handle, finger and manipulate items; perform repetitive fine motor functions with fingers, wrists, and arms, standing for long periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills.
- Must be able to exchange information on the phone, through video conferencing, or in person.
