Role SummaryThe Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards . This individual will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety protocols, and serve as the key on-site representative for the client and project team.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day jobsite operations to achieve project milestones and final completion dates.Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules , proactively addressing issues before they impact progress.Enforce and manage the project site safety program , promoting a culture of safety, cleanliness, and accountability.Ensure all work complies with contract documents, building codes, and best-practice standards.Coordinate subcontractor activities, inspections, and quality control, verifying work is completed accurately (plumb, level, square, etc.).Lead and document all field meetings, including pre-construction, progress, and coordination sessions.Administer contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and other agreements to ensure scope and compliance.Manage scope changes and confirm the most current plans/specifications are being used to minimize rework.Maintain thorough and timely documentation (daily reports, field logs, timecards, RFIs, etc.).Oversee punch list and project closeout to ensure successful, timely turnover.Collaborate with project managers, estimators, clients, and trade partners to ensure alignment and project success.Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, schedules, and client presentations.QualificationsExperience: Minimum 5+ years of experience supervising ground-up commercial construction projects; tilt-up strongly preferred.Tenant Improvement (TI) experience required.Education/Training: AS degree in Construction Management or related field OR journeyman-level trade background with progressive supervisory experience.Solid knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and site logistics for commercial/institutional projects.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and construction management tools.Valid OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications required.Core CompetenciesStrong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, project controls, and change order management.Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.Commitment to quality, safety, and schedule adherence.Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.Ability to foster collaborative relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.Organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation and reporting skills.Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry standards and best practices.What Our Client OffersCompetitive salary and performance-based incentivesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and wellness programs401(k) with employer matchPaid vacation, sick leave, and holidaysEducation assistance and professional development supportHome and auto insurance discountsOpportunity to work with a stable, well-regarded contractor in growth mode
