- Lead and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather and validate business, functional, and system requirements.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams using tools such as Jira.
- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and visualization specialists to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to support requirements, including source-to-target mapping, data lineage, and data quality validation.
- Support the report rationalization by analyzing usage, business value, and redundancy to inform migration priorities.
- Conduct impact analysis on proposed changes to identify risks, dependencies, and downstream effects on existing systems and business processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), walkthroughs, and demos to validate deliverables and gather feedback.
- Support the development of training materials, user guides, and onboarding documentation tailored to the client’s operational context.
- Serve as a liaison between client’s program offices and technical teams to ensure continuous alignment and traceability of requirements.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data-centric projects, including a proven ability to translate requirements into actionable deliverables for technical and non-technical audiences.
- 5+ years of experience with requirement specifications gathering, use cases, process flow diagrams, user interface designs, and other system documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate cross-team collaboration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
- US Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident (Green Card Holder) due to federal contract requirements.
- Must reside in the United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.).
- Familiarity with Databricks, AWS, Azure, or other cloud-native data platforms.
- Experience with Azure cloud-native services, Azure Synapse, and AI tools.
- Exposure to AI/ML-augmented development environments or tools.
- Experience supporting federal clients in data migration, ETL modernization, or dashboard redevelopment.
- Experience with data governance principles and practices, including metadata management, data quality, and master data management (MDM)
- Practical experience in a mature Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban), including proficiency in writing and managing complex epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira or similar tools.
