
IT Paralegal/Trial Technician

- Perform a minimum of 1,600 billable hours per year.
- Hot-Seat operator to work both in-person and virtual trials.
- Works with a range of Trial Presentation software and eDiscovery technologies including TrialDirector 360, Concordance, eCapture, Relativity and other internal and external software solutions.
- Assist the Litigation Support Manager with ensuring compliance with all Firm Information Governance policies as it relates to Litigation Support.
- Manage electronic depositions so they can be incorporated into a database/trial software, synchronized to video transcripts and presented in court without loss of quality and ready presentation.
- Extensive knowledge, on both user and administrative functions, for all litigation software applications used in the Firm. Litigation applications may include but are not limited to: Relativity TextMap, CaseMap, iManage, Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Acrobat (Reader/Writer), software purchased by the Firm, and Internet resources.
- Assist with various phases of processing data from discovery, processing, quality control review, exporting, and production.
- Assist with converting audio-visual files to usable formats in accordance with the Firm policies and procedures.
- Understand and appropriately apply the Firm’s practices and procedures.
- Experience using trial presentation software (Trial Director 360, etc.) at no less than five multiday trials.
- 3-5 years of experience in a progressively responsible work environment with the expertise needed to operate Litigation Support systems and services in a large, multi-office
- Paralegal Certificate, CEDES, 5-7 years of eDiscovery experience or the equivalent.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, paralegals, staff and outside vendors and consultants, train end users and provide information with appropriate courtesy and tact while safeguarding confidentiality.
- Ability to deal with stressful environment and maintain a high volume of tasks while performing other essential technology, management and specially assigned duties.
- Work occasionally requires more than forty hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Ability to travel across California and the Southwest United States to support case teams.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office machines and set-up court room technology.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Able to deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work on multiple priorities/tasks and complete them on a timely basis.
- Occasionally called upon to work overtime.
