Oregon SurgiCenter (OSC) has an exciting and unique opportunity for a PACU RN. This is a per diem position with a flexible schedule.The Oregon Urology Institute (OUI), a 26 provider Urology Medical Group located in Springfield, Oregon, is looking for an RN for its AAAHC accredited ambulatory surgery center, Oregon SurgiCenter.OUI and OSC is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. OUI and OSC provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies.The PACU Registered Nurse role will work in the post anesthesia care unit in our outpatient surgery center devoted only to urologic procedures. RNs are responsible for providing therapeutic, effective patient/family-centered care according to physician order, in compliance with the philosophy of the Surgery Center, standards of practice and regulations of governing agenciesDuties and Responsibilities * Excellent care given to patients.
  • Ensures delivery of care according to AORN standards
  • Follows all policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality care is provided to patients.
  • Regularly demonstrates competency in performing job tasks and operating equipment.
  • Follows all Surgery Center compliance with regulatory requirements and AAAHC accreditation requirements
Qualifications: * Minimum of 2 years recent PACU experience or equivalent preferred.
  • ACLS & PALS certifications preferred but will be required within 6 months of hire.
  • Current healthcare level CPR certification is required.
  • Current RN license is required.
Working Conditions (Physical): * Requires extensive mobility, walking and standing
  • Requires some pushing, pulling, and lifting of equipment and/or people
  • Requires the ability to make sound, accurate decisions quickly
  • No nights, weekends, or on-call schedules
Working Conditions (Environmental): * Works in a well-lit and ventilated area with complicated equipment, some of which is hazardous in nature
  • May be exposed to people who have communicable diseases. With the utilization of proper techniques, risks are minimized.
Requirements: * Demonstrates positive attitude and exhibits a cooperative approach when dealing with patients, physicians, staff, vendors, and visitors.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Competitive salary range: $41.82 to 62.76 per hour, DOE.
