Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing & Supply Chain desired.What You Will HaveProcurement:Level Extensive ExperienceKnowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business.Monitors effectiveness of procurement policies in high-cost or critical path purchases.Selects appropriate qualified suppliers and negotiates related contracts.Compares and contrasts alternative sourcing strategies (sole sourcing, reverse auctions, etc.).Develops alternative sources of supply for the manufacturing organization.Assists in creating contingency plans for and with critical suppliers.Coordinates the procurement of a variety of products, materials and services.Supply Chain Management - MFG:Level Extensive ExperienceKnowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management. Advises others on capacity issues at various points in the supply chain.Quantifies and evaluates benefits and risks of various supply chain strategies and approaches.Participates in joint planning, process design/redesign with clients and partners.Project Management:Level Extensive ExperienceUtilizes preferred tools, techniques and methods for estimating project cost and time.Identifies risks and vulnerabilities; creates contingency plans.Communicates reporting requirements; creates monitoring and control mechanisms.Logistics Management:Level Working KnowledgeKnowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.Assists in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity.Uses tools, with guidance, to forecast delivery times, determine costs and assess performance.Business Process Improvement:Level Extensive ExperienceAnalyzes business processes, identifies alternative solutions to outdated processes and assesses their feasibility.Participates in defining organizational strategic goals and purposes; defines how to gather and keep customers.Analytical Thinking:Level Extensive ExperienceKnowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis.Organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation.Identifies many possible causes for a problem based on prior experience and current research.Quantifies the costs, benefits, risks and chances for success before recommending a course of action.Approaches a complex problem by breaking it down into its component parts.What Will Put You Ahead:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing & Supply Chain desired.Proven experience in Material planning logic and planning within a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of SAP fundamentals.Proficient in Data and Reporting Tools (Excel, Power BI).Expertise in inventory planning strategies, including analysis and design.Additional Information:This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.Travel up to ~10% is possible.Relocation is NOT available for this role.Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this role.This Job Description is intended as a general guide to the job duties for this position and is intended for the purpose of establishing the specific salary grade.
