As part of the treatment team, the Case Manager Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the Case Managers within the youth housing community programming; oversees the Case Management team to ensure it meets agency expectations and goals; ensures the Case Management team maintains compliance with agency and/or grant requirements; assesses Case Management needs, develops goals and ensures that the Case Management team has a cooperative working relationship with all of the programs that they serve and, overarching, within the agency itself; supervises assigned staff and assists them in their job duties.II. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage Case Management team to ensure it operates within the rules, regulations and guidelines set forth by the agency, HAND expectations and COA.
- Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meet objectives set by the program director and senior management in each program; participate in developing department goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain Case Management systems, records, and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures for continual improvement of Case Management services.
- Supervise assigned staff and volunteers to ensure that they are functioning within the requirements of their job duties; provide guidance, training, assistance, and support to staff when needed, including planning, performance management, professional development, adjusting workloads as necessary, and addressing and resolving complaints to create a climate of teamwork and motivation.
- Act as expert for external partners; work with the program director regarding Case Management or program licensing/certification rules, relicensing, complaints, and rulings to ensure ongoing compliance with all agencies, licensing, contractual, and legal obligations and requirements.
- Operate within the guidelines of the Employee Handbook, program’s Operations Manual, Policies and Procedures and grant guidelines.
- Demonstrate commitment to the social sector with a passion for MCHS’s mission and vision.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology from an accredited college or university; and
- Three (3) years of experience in a child caring institution.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology from an accredited college or university; and
- Two (2) years of experience in a child caring institution.
- Possession of a certified full license for the State of Michigan.
- Computer and software applications (Windows, MS Office, Internet applications, etc.) necessary to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrate leadership.

- Attend and conduct agency training and maintain necessary certifications and licenses.
- Maintain a Michigan driver’s license and driving record that allows the operation of an agency or personal vehicle for agency business or to transport clients as needed.
