Overview/ Job Responsibilities:Sev1Tech is seeking a Strategy (formerly known as MicroStrategy) Administrator SME for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Ordnance Information System (OIS) to provide technical expertise on a mission-critical program whose purpose is to develop, modernize, enhance, operate, and maintain services for OIS mission critical systems.In this role, you will lead the implementation and administration of Strategy servers from the Strategy tool perspective. You will also play an important role in capacity planning and monitoring as well as performance tuning and optimization for Strategy infrastructure. You will be needed for designing complex data structures as well as defining and implementing the procedures for migration of Strategy application and configuration objects from Dev to QA to production.This is a Remote position. However, visits to customer site in Mechanicsburg, PA, will be required.Primary Responsibilities:The Strategy Administrator SME will be responsible for the following:
  • Design and implement Strategy security and administration for all internal and external users including the creation / modification of Strategy roles, implementing OIS specific row level security and troubleshooting user access issues
  • Handle the implementation, testing, and documentation of new and updated Strategy reporting structures and configuration packages to be moved into staging / production environment
  • Assist with day-to-day Strategy administration tasks including troubleshooting performance issues and restoring user reports from backups when needed
  • Assist internal and external clients with demos and troubleshoot reporting issues related to Strategy configurations and / or complexity of cubes / reports / dashboards
  • Assist system administrators with configuration, deployment and troubleshooting application and availability errors
  • Configure and implement Platform Analytics for usage analysis and troubleshooting issues as well as set up monitoring and alerts notifications for key performance indicators for the Strategy infrastructure
  • Other as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have DOD Secret level clearance to start; U.S. Citizen required only for Federal Clearance Requirement
  • Certification Requirement: Directive 8570.1/8140 - Security+ certification required to start
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years total experience in Business Intelligence and Information Systems
  • At least 3 years of experience with Strategy Administration
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience architecting data structures
  • Hands on experience on Installation, configuration, and deployment of Strategy products.
  • Must have strong SQL and RDBMS (Data model) skills
  • Experience in SQL troubleshooting, report failures, project and Intelligence server level governing settings and their impacts.
  • Must be conversant with the tools in Strategy suite e.g. Developer, Command Manager, Workstation, Object Manager, Integrity Manager, and License Manager
  • Experience in Capacity sizing/Planning of MicroStrategy infrastructure components
  • Experience customizing Platform Analytics for usage analysis and monitoring performance
  • Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Must have experience with creating dynamic dashboards with visualizations and complex user defined objects
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7+ years total experience in Business Intelligence and Information Systems with at least 5 years of experience with MicroStrategy Administration
  • Top Secret clearance or completed T5 (or equivalent) background check highly preferred
  • Oracle Database Certified Associate or equivalent Database Certification or MicroStrategy Certification
  • Experience in AWS or other cloud platform
  • Experience with complex data structure architecting challenges
  • Experience with design and set-up of data warehouses
