The primary role of the Developer I (Informatica) position is to collaborate within a small team of developers and business analysts to develop and modify custom business applications and reports. This role will work directly with business stakeholders and IT management to elicit requirements, provide ideas for improvements, and deliver well-documented solutions that accommodate stakeholder and business process needs while ensuring that pre-defined coding standard practices are followed.Position Responsibilities Include:
- Create ETL/ELT mappings supporting the Data Warehouse environment using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)
- Utilize SQL and Snowflake as data storage options and benefits of each platform. Create and debug queries supporting exhaustive unit testing and lead user acceptance testing
- Work with other developers, project managers, architects, business analysts and other departments to develop new technology and expand into existing applications
- Participate with Agile methods including define and log work using JIRA, standups, etc.
- Develop design documents such as technical specifications, functional requirements, object modules, system test plans, technical and user documentation
- Ensure successful completion of projects that meet requirements
- Provide support to maintain existing applications
- Participate in Team Code Reviews
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- 2+ years integrating multiple data sources into holistic reporting structures using Informatica Power Center/IICS, Data Factory, Python, or other similar tool
- 2+ years developing type 2 dimensions, facts, conformed dimensions, blending data from multiple systems into holistic data solutions
- Ability to work with business partners to understand complex requirements. Listen to business jargon, convert to data design and ETL/ELT solutions driving engagement and satisfaction.
- OLTP vs OLAP database designs and proper utilization of each. Strong knowledge of 3NF, star schema and proper data modeling techniques ensuring performance of design
- Strong problem-solving skills enabling advanced troubleshooting techniques and resolutions to enhancement requests
- Collaborative, self-starter, and someone who takes initiative driving resolutions and completion of projects.
- Bachelors - Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or related field
- 2+ Years Informatica Development , including IICS concepts
- Efficient design of mappings/mapplets, lookups, and overall performance of the data warehouse load ensuring SLAs are met
- Experience utilizing informatica publish and scheduling processes
- Experience managing real time data ingestion practices
- Good communication, project management and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in agile environment and JIRA
- Experience with Power BI including modeling and telling the story with data
