As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) you will provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT). PTAs implement selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention; make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Physical Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort; educate and interact with Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers; and respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations. The PTA is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. The attributes, characteristics or behaviors required for success in this job include: critical thinking, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, use of constructive feedback, effective use of time and resources, stress management, and commitment to learning.RequirementsEducational Requirements:Associates Physical Therapist Assistant ;Eligible Lee Health candidates are required to graduate from an accredited program. The accepted accrediting body required for Lee Health's Rehabilitation Professionals is the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).Experience Requirements:NoneState of Florida Licensure Requirements: Physical Therapist Assistant LicenseCertifications/Registration Requirements:BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)US:FL:Bonita Springs
