METAL CLEANER-RESTORATIONWorcester Eisenbrandt a specialist commercial historic restoration construction is seeking an experienced Metal Cleaner with experience in historic restoration. The ideal candidate will have had a work history of cleaning and restoring metal surfaces back to their original state. This restoration role will have the knowledge in cleaning methods and techniques on various metal surfaces.Summary of responsibilities:
Knowledge and usage of solvents, abrasives and coatings while adhering to safety guidelines;
Surface preparation using cleaning agents and techniques;
Equipment operation of cleaning equipment, such as pressure washers, sandblasters, and chemical applicators, to achieve optimal results;
Employ various restoration techniques to remove rust, stains, and corrosion from metal surfaces;
Experience in surface inspection for imperfections and damage assessment;
Good understanding of hazard communication and detail cleaning and restoration processes.
Skill and Knowledge requirements:
Proven experience in metal cleaning and restoration
Knowledge of different metal types and the related appropriate cleaning techniques;
Detail oriented and the ability to deliver quality results;
Ability to perform heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
Must have a drivers license.
Education and Certifications:
An equivalent combination of education, specific training and experience sufficient to indicate ability to do the work.
Restoration certifications are a plus
