Travel: 50–75% across the Western U.S.An international premium food manufacturer is expanding rapidly in the U.S. market and seeking a Retail Business Development Manager to help drive retail growth across the Western U.S. This role will focus on opening new grocery accounts, strengthening relationships with existing partners, and increasing consumer awareness of a high-quality European-style product line in the charcuterie and deli category.This is a remote position covering all states west of Texas, plus portions of the Midwest and South, with significant travel required.Key ResponsibilitiesOpen new retail grocery accounts across the Western U.S.Manage and grow existing relationships with both retailers and distributor partnersPrioritize direct retail engagement, taking full ownership of accounts and performanceLead in-store product demos, sampling, and events to build trial and awarenessCollaborate with brokers and retail buyers to optimize product placementUse vendor portals and analytics tools to track performance and guide strategyServe as a key field voice for market insights, trends, and opportunitiesIdeal Candidate7–10 years of experience in retail grocery sales or business developmentProven success in opening new accounts and building a territoryExperience with West Coast regional and national retailers (e.g., Safeway, Albertsons, Sprouts, Gelson’s, Food Lion, HEB)Background in premium food, deli, or charcuterie is a plus, but not requiredStrong broker and buyer engagement experienceSelf-driven and highly organized, capable of managing a large territory remotelyBachelor’s degree preferredComfortable with 50–75% travel throughout the Western U.S.
