We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Accountant to take full ownership of the accounting function for a large-scale construction project in Brooklyn. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the financial operations of a high-visibility project while working closely with senior leadership. The position is onsite and requires someone local to Brooklyn or able to reliably commute.Manage all accounting functions for a large-scale construction project, including A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Prepare and manage construction-specific documentation including G702/G703 forms, lien releases, and class codes.Audit bank and credit card statements with accuracy and attention to detail.Consolidate and analyze financial data to support project operations and ensure accurate reporting.Collaborate directly with the Senior Project Manager and CEO to provide financial updates, analysis, and recommendations.Ensure compliance with accounting policies, project requirements, and financial deadlines.Act as the go-to accounting professional for the project, working independently in a fast-paced environment.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
