Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Summary:
Responsible to weld, fabricate and assemble metal structures, equipment, misc. projects through the use of welding machines, cutting machines, rollers and press brakes, along with measuring and layout tools to produce metal parts and assemblies according to customer or employer specifications either in the field or in the shop in an efficient manner while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
Requirements:1. Functional use of press brake, shear, Iron Worker, rolling machines & saws2. Blueprint reading capability3. Experience taking something from concept to drawing to completion4. Overall mechanically inclined5. Ability to measure and differentiate types of materialsWelding & Cutting Functions1. Mastery of 304, 310 & 316 Stainless Steel TIG welding2. Working knowledge of MIG welding3. Create welds that meet AWS standards4. Clean surrounding areas of any weld splatter5. Ensure no porosity or defects in welds6.
