Job DescriptionJob Summary:The role of an Install Technician plays a pivotal role in the successful installation and implementation of security systems, ensuring that our clients' needs are met with the highest level of quality and professionalism.Value and Beliefs of this Role:The person in this role must provide world-class service to customers, colleagues, and communities. This job requires a person who remains professional, organized, detail and task oriented, as well as precise, thorough, and collaborative.Key Responsibilities:Installation of Security Systems:Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security technologies.Ability to wire systems such as Lenel, Software House, Hirsh, and AMAG, DMP, Bosch, Milestone, Genetec.Cabling and Wiring:Proficiently run and terminate low-voltage cabling, ensuring that all installations adhere to industry standards and best practices.System Integration:Integrate and troubleshoot various security system components to ensure they function as a cohesive unit, offering clients a comprehensive security solution.Equipment Setup:Configure and program security equipment, such as cameras, access control panels, and alarms, according to project specifications and customer requirements.Ability to program systems such as Lenel, Software House, Hirsh, and AMAG, DMP, Bosch, Milestone, Genetec.Quality Assurance:Perform system tests and inspections to ensure the installed systems operate efficiently and meet quality standards.Documentation:Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installation activities, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, and project documentation.Customer Support:Provide training and technical support to clients on system operation and functionality, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during installation projects to ensure a safe working environment.Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.Team Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate and execute installation projects within specified timelines and budgets.Other Duties: Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specifiedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or related field is preferred.Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.Knowledge of low-voltage cabling, wiring, and termination techniques.Familiarity with security equipment and software, including various hardware brands and manufacturers.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.United States CitizenSecurity clearance and or the ability to receive clearance.Additional InformationConvergint Federal is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to workforce diversity.
