The Developmental Advantage is looking to hire a BCBA/BCaBA on a contracted basis. Job duties would primarily be located in our Charleston-based clinic, with the potential of moving into home/schools as needed.The BCBA/BCaBA will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, function analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills.A BCBA will also oversee the programming of associate behavior analysts and provide ongoing support and supervision to RBT's as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with Behavior Support Plan.RESPONSIBILIITES:Providing a blend of Direct services and Supervision of RBT'sAssist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching.Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their familiesProvide model teaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.Provide ongoing support and training to direct support professionals, ABA implementers, and other individuals in support roles for families.Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to programming including the training of direct support professionals, parent trainings and teacher trainings.Experience:
Certified as a BCBA/BCaBA as recognized by the BACB
2 years of experience working with special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorders in a clinic setting preferred.Experience working with children aged 18 months to 5 years preferred.Ability to pass a background check
CPR certification, or ability to become CPR certifiedRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducting initial skills assessments as required to develop appropriate client programming.
  • Development of individualized skill acquisition programs.
  • Assistance with the implementation, maintenance and generalization of programs.
  • Development of generalization programs for clients to the natural environment (home, school, community programs, etc.…).
  • Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA’s) when needed and development of function-based behavior plans.
  • Ongoing monitoring of goal progress for each client including collecting, graphing, and analyzing data. Completion of assessment and progress reports as required.
  • Supervision of individuals pursuing certification as a BCBA or the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.
  • Providing ongoing feedback and supervision to RBTs.
  • Provide training to caregivers and service providers as needed.
  • Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to maximize the client’s potential (ex – SLP, OT, PT, etc.…).
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology or related field. (BCBA)
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is required.
  • Completion of the 8-hour supervision course required by the BACB to supervise. If not completed, will need to be completed upon hire.
