Requirements:
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Membership: Active bar membership in New York. Federal bar membership is a plus!
  • Experience: While litigation experience is preferred, we welcome new bar admittees to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in litigation cases with a focus on achieving the best outcomes.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop strong case strategies.
  • Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide expert legal counsel to clients, guiding them through the complexities of litigation.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other key legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
Compensation:
  • 1-7 Years of Experience: $49.00 per hour
  • 7+ Years of Experience: $52.00 per hour
Additional Opportunity:On Call Counsel also offers a direct hire, permanent full-time role with a non-profit organization, focusing on Landlord/Tenant matters in the Bronx.
