Location: Las Vegas, NVDescription:
Provides comprehensive engineering design services for substation facilities, and ensures the facilities are constructed on schedule and within committed resource allocations.
Provides technical management of multiple substation projects and prioritization of work, working collaboratively with outside consulting firms and internal stakeholders. (25%)
Ensures quality control on assigned projects by providing construction support as needed, including coordination with construction forces and job site inspections. (25%)
Provides coordination and communication with other departments in completing procurement tasks on projects with no supervision or guidance. (15%)
Assists and guides other departments in the solution of non-standard substation design problems. (15%)
Provides accurate cost estimates for use in company budgeting procedures such that cash flow requirements are identified. (10%)
Provides input for development of detailed project schedules and update project management system to reflect the status of projects assigned. (10%)Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited school in electrical engineering and 8 years industry experience as a practicing engineer and must be a licensed PE.
If no PE license, must have 10+ years as a practicing engineer.
Substation/control engineering principals and knowledge of other phases of engineering.
