- Work with Project Managers and other team members to provide quality and timely service, correspondence, and other needs to our customers, as required
- Works directly with the project manager to provide adequate manpower as required to job sites, shutdowns and outages
- Coordinates all work with Project Mangers, Estimators and Safety to ensure job productivity in a safe and efficient manner
- Oversees daily operations of the sheet metal workers and mechanical equipment serviceperson (MES), job sites while coordinating with Project Mangers
- Major contributor of preplanning, sequences, manpower utilization, material handling, material ordering, material deliveries and storage requirements for equipment use
- Coordinates project start up activities, including job kick off meetings, weekly pulse meetings, weekly manpower meetings and estimation meetings
- Leads daily morning meetings with the entire crew (if applicable)
- Direct contact with Local Union’s 24 and 392 for all labor needs or layoffs
- Direct contact with Local Union’s 24 and 392 JATC training coordinator’s for apprentice requests, apprentice placement and/or terminations
- Must have knowledge of construction drawings and approved plans
- Uses construction management software
- Orders necessary equipment, tools, and materials for project fluency
- Makes sure all local, state, and national business codes and regulations are followed
- Ensures that the team adheres to all company policies and safety protocols
- Provide quality support for Project Mangers to accurately manage manpower needs
- Performing effectively and confidently without supervision
- Assist with job permits
- Prepare weekly productivity reports
- Understand job cost reporting specific to employee costs, crew rates and prevailing wage projects (i.e. Davis Bacon)
- Advise senior level management or Project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, while assisting in circumventing or mitigating such conflicts
- Maintain all safety compliance requirements, yearly training for all employees (specifically Local 24 & 392 MES)
- Ensure safe job site conditions are maintained and followed by all employees
- Minimum 15 years of recent Sheetmetal and MES experience.
- Local 24 or 392 Member
- Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office software applications. The ability and willingness to learn other software applications as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and able to interact with all levels of the organization with a positive, engaging, proactive and team-based style.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team player attitude and professional appearance are a must.
