- Partner directly with the CFO to oversee financial operations across development projects, investment vehicles, and corporate entities.
- Lead accounting and operational support for fund-level structures, joint ventures, and real estate partnerships.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, investor reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Support financing activities, including lender due diligence, draw requests, loan compliance, and escrow reimbursements.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax and reporting regulations.
- Oversee internal controls, process improvements, and ensure adherence to financial policies across the organization.
- Supervise team members and third-party consultants involved in property accounting, fund administration, and audit support.
- Manage quarterly and annual investor reporting including NAV calculations, capital account statements, distributions, and waterfall analyses.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Asset Management, Legal, and Development teams to support transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of accounting and property management software (Yardi preferred).
- Oversee CAM reconciliations, receivables, and monthly reporting packages for operating entities.
- 3 years+ of experience in a senior-level accounting or finance role (e.g., Controller, Director of Finance), ideally within commercial real estate or private equity.
- Prior exposure to fund accounting, investor reporting, and capital structures in a real estate investment environment.
- Strong familiarity with real estate accounting systems — Yardi experience highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, real estate cost allocation, and development financing structures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial reporting systems.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to lead multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact confidently with senior leadership, lenders, and investors.
