
Desktop Investigator

- Reviews and analyzes case notes, client handling instructions, prior investigative reports and other pertinent data to perform independent reviews of facts in preparation and follow-through of investigative assignments
- Conducts research through private and public databases and the Internet to compile information pertinent to each investigation
- Prepares timely, detailed, unbiased written reports and summaries in compliance with corporate standard operating procedures and client SLA’s. Reports must be accurate and detailed, including all relevant facts
- Communicate with medical facilities and other third parties via phone to gather information relevant to investigations
- Places up to an average of 75 outbound calls per day as needed
- Updates corporate case management system with investigative notes, reports and summaries
- Offers support to our field network via incoming phone calls and emails requests throughout the day.
- Other investigative duties as assigned.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid private investigator's license
- Communicate with staff and clients in a professional manner
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all internal and external business partners/co-workers and third parties
- Must be able to effectively communicate via both incoming and outgoing forms of communication.
- Self-motivated, self-directed and ability to work independently

- Strong ability to write investigative reports in a clear and concise manner utilizing proper grammar and spelling
- Associate Degree or higher preferred
- Understanding of basic medical terminology helpful
- Experience in a fast paced, high volume work environment preferred
