- Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance and repair tasks in accordance to service, quality and safety standards at the Lehigh Valley facilities.
- Following standard work and procedures, performs preventive maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
- Assists with miscellaneous facility initiatives including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
- Routine visual inspection of utility and other building related systems.
- Complete Daily tasks as assigned utilizing CMMS.
- Interoffice package and mail delivery between site locations.
- Inventories and stocks general supplies for office buildings and cafeteria areas.
- Common areas kept in a neat and orderly manner.
- Performs monthly inspections of fire and safety items at all buildings.
- Inspects and performs regular maintenance and minor repairs to buildings.
- Make regular rounds to all areas within the facilities to ensure that activities are conducted safely.
- Navigate Preventive Maintenance Program and Daily Work Orders through Facility CMMS software.
- Participate in weekly GEMBA and interact / communicate with the employee population (internal customers).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade or Technical degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of facilities related maintenance experience.
- Ability to take direction and then complete projects on a timely basis.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written
- Operations, services, and activities of a building maintenance, repair, and construction program.
- Materials, methods, terminology, equipment, and tools used in the maintenance, repair, and construction of building structures and systems including those used in performing rough and finished carpentry, plumbing, heating, minor electrical, mechanical, and painting work.
- Equipment, tools, and materials used in facility maintenance activities.
- Principles and practices of safety management.
- Adherence to department policies and procedures.
- Experience developing cost estimates for supplies and equipment.
- Will be able to create standard work procedures related to assigned operations.
