PAY RATE: $26.93/hourWe are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.Job Details:Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)Industry: Aerospace / Defense / AviationBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision (Cigna)Perks: Bonus potential + Priority access via Tier 1 supplierOpenings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S.Qualifying Questions:Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?Summary:Fabricate and install flat panels, curtains, and simple covers per engineering drawings/specificationsWork with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, adhesives, sewing machines, hand tools, and power toolsCut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and install panels (sidewalls, headliners, hatches, windows, etc.)Fabricate simple metal parts as requiredUse material tracking system to create part demands, track squawks, and sign off workSupport process improvements to increase safety, reduce cost, and improve efficiency (Lean Manufacturing practices)Use Corridor system for part tracking and work documentationMaintain compliance with safety, 5S, and PPE requirementsIdentify and address unsafe conditionsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GED2+ years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or hand tools in upholstery or carpet tradesAerospace industry experience preferredProficiency in reading, writing, and understanding EnglishAbility to read/interpret blueprints and engineering documentationSkilled with measuring tools and basic mathComputer literacy requiredPhysical ability to climb ladders, work in confined areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shiftMust be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).About Us:The Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
