This role combines advanced audio-visual (AV), low-voltage systems maintenance, IT support, and operational oversight of network and communications systems across all TSA-managed facilities in accordance with Tampa Sports Authority policies/procedures and NFL/DHS cyber security best practices.The position also assists in supervising part-time Technology Systems Technicians and external contractors, ensuring timely, efficient technical service delivery. Additionally, the Technician contributes to developing operational policies that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.POSITION REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Sr. Facility Manager - TechnologyJOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Install, program, modify, test, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of systems, including:
  • Network infrastructure and structured cabling.
  • Audio amplification/distribution
  • CCTV and VMS systems
  • Access control
  • Mac/Windows/Linux PCs, laptops, and printers
  • Wireless communications
  • VoIP telephone systems
  • Television and broadcast systems
  • Identify and correct equipment malfunctions of low voltage wiring and connected devices.
  • Monitor and track all technology & security related inventory to confirm software is current and physical equipment is in pristine condition.
  • Assist with network integration of Technology systems ensuring reliable connectivity and integrity.
  • Perform regular facility inspections and share findings with leadership.
  • Support events with onsite AV, technology, and IT setup and technical support.
  • Create and code supply requisitions and assist with departmental procurement needs.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to support collaborative planning and information sharing.
  • Provide input in budget meetings regarding equipment and operational needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and service excellence through participation in employee initiatives and team leadership.
  • Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and best practices through trade shows and association involvement.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, ADA standards, and all applicable Authority policies to maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Maintain technology logs, inventory records, and documentation related to maintenance and service activities.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects assigned.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in:
  • Audio/Video technology and CCTV systems
  • Mac/Windows/Linux PCs, laptops, and printers
  • Electronic security and card access systems
  • Networking and structured cabling
  • Electrical principles and National Electrical Code
  • Must have ability to read and interpret building diagrams and follow setup instructions to meet event needs.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and work well with others.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written (English required).
  • Knowledge of CPR and ability to use an AED.
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods, lift 50+ lbs., and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
  • Must be able to operate maintenance equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts).
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain a high public image and positive attitude while serving clients and guests.
  • Position requires flexibility for irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be available for on-call rotations and able to respond to urgent technical needs with minimal notice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Completion of a two-year technical education program in a relevant field.
  • Equivalent experience accepted at a ratio of 2 years of experience = 1 year of technical education.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer systems, networking, audio, video, access control and CCTV maintenance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum High School graduate or equivalent GED with completion of an accredited two (2) year technical education program. Work experience in the maintenance and repair of audio, video, IT support and CCTV systems may serve as substitute based on two (2) years of work experience for one (1) year of technical education program.
  • Prior experience supporting technology operations in a large venue, stadium, arena, or public facility environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of audio, video, CCTV and low voltage electrical system maintenance and repairs.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and network systems.
